A progress report is a document in which the European Commission publishes information on the progress that a certain candidate country or potential candidate for membership has achieved in fulfilling the conditions and goals set by the European Union, as well as a summary of the operational measures that need to be taken based on established action plans. The first Progress Report for Bosnia and Herzegovina was published in 2005. The point “Financial control” also talks about the external audit in BiH, that is, the independence of the supreme audit institutions in BiH, their institutional capacities, the quality of audit work, the effect of audit activities, etc., within the framework of the year for which the Report is being prepared.
